Virtual and augmented reality storytelling has the power to create strong emotional connections that change attitudes, actions and policies to shape our world. The media can no longer ignore its true power to engage and inform audiences in new, meaningful ways. XR stories have the power to build human understanding for issues, places, or people we’ve not otherwise been exposed to in real life. It has the power to connect people from all corners of the world, and through these “shared” experiences in a headset, we can begin to find common understanding and compassion and make the world a better place. But XR can’t take place in a vacuum – it requires a strategic, intentional 360 campaign to build adoption and achieve its intended results.

Award-winning VR producer and SVP of Corporate Social Good at Fenton, Rachel Henderson will convene a panel of journalists, media companies and documentary producers to discuss how the media can harness XR programs to better inform and engage audiences in the issues that impact our world.
