Open Call for Board MembersBoard of Directors
In July 2021, members passed a motion to the Board of Directors to restructure the leadership model and election process for the organization (articles V, VI and VII). The new Board of Directors was announced on Sept 16, 2021. The board will oversee the development of the new leadership structure.

About SND Leadership
Traditionally, the business of the Society is governed by its Board of Directors. Each are dues-paying members of the Society, and either elected officers (President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, immediate Past President) or appointed directors (Regional and Program). The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors consists of the officers, executive director, one regional director, one program director and three appointees from the Media/Journalism community at large, not necessarily SND members.
SND officers are elected by the members of the Society to an officers ladder, entering as Secretary/Treasurer. They serve one year in each officers position.
