Ole Munk

Ole Munk, who speaks at SND Frankfurt workshop next month, will emphasize the role of the designer in a world where audiences crave reliability and familiarity.
Munk has led Kristeligt Dagblad‘s print design since 2004. He was also involved in the 2014 relaunch of the website, which blended elements of Kristeligt Dagblad’s digital and print designs. With an almost 80 percent circulation rise over the last twenty years, Kristeligt Dagblad (the Christian Daily) is an impressive success at a time when most Danish newspapers are experiencing dramatic declines. The k.dk website received a number of awards at this year’s Danish and Scandinavian newspaper design contests, including a gold medal for a special story on euthanasia.
Munk will explain how journalism at Kristeligt Dagblad has always been key to developing the design. He will also explain how changes have been implemented gradually, with great care and in close coordination with editorial strategies and new initiatives.
