Wow! Joe Hutchinson, design director for Rolling Stone shared insight in to design decisions for the legendary magazine — and all that it takes to cover the very best of music and entertainment.

You can follow the SND Student Workshop at Syracuse University, along with all of judging weekend, on our livestream. Videos will be archived.

Michael Whitley, assistant managing editor at the Los Angeles Times is regaling students now (no kidding, regaling is the right word) with thoughts on “what is most important to a designer.” Answer: All the content is accurate.

Now, he’s on to Oscars Night in LA, “the longest day of the year for me,” he said. The Academy Awards are the equivalent of elections + fashion. All day long.

Trust me, you need to see this presentation. And you can, on our livestream. AND, it will be archived, so you can watch it over and over again.

"Don't be a slave to style," said Joe Hutchinson, as he talked about selection of the cover photo for Adele on Rolling Stone.
