SOCIETY FOUNDER, ARTIST MARKS 85TH

Please take a moment to join us in celebrating Robert’s birthday, April 3.

Robert was the Society’s first president from 1979-1980. At the time he was Art Director, The Morning Call, Allentown, Pa. “Without him (and Ed Miller) there may not have been an SND,” said Phil Ritzenberg (the only founder who’s ever been SND’s president twice — from 1980-81, and 1981-82).

Phil described those early days and Robert’s role among the Society’s founders in this memorable 2014 speech he delivered at the closing of SND Louisville.
