Meet the news nerds tackling content creation at #SNDMakes in Boston

Modern newsrooms need modern ways to create, manage and distribute content; yet so many organizations are stuck with old tools and processes that just don’t work. Enter: #SNDMakes.

From Oct. 17 to Oct. 19, the Society for News Design will take over the office of Upstatement, where over 40 professionals from 19 different organizations are coming together to apply design thinking to questions like, “How can we design a better content management workflow?” and “How can we empower editors, reporters and producers to create more engaging news presentations?”
Throughout the next week, we’ll share more details about the event program, and revisit prototypes from our first event in March. You can follow along with #SNDMakes on Twitter and Instagram — as well as by checking updates on snd.org — to see how we move from ideation to brainstorming, and then to prototypes.
