Vision for SND
I see SND as a service-oriented organization with the potential to make a significant, tangible impact on the future of visual storytelling. Through accessibility, inclusivity, and innovation, I hope to support an already dedicated community of industry professionals who provide guidance, career opportunities, and celebration of excellent work while pushing the craft forward. My vision is for SND to become a household name in visual storytelling—a community nexus that connects everyone from independent printmakers to editors in legacy media, not only being known for commending excellence but also fostering a holistic sense of community collaboration. I want our organization to become a more sought after industry resource.
About Micah
Over several years, I’ve supported SND —first as an online note-taker, then as an in-person volunteer for two years, and now returning to volunteer again as a part of the Logistics and Outreach Committees. Every time I volunteer I gain meaningful professional and creative insights. I am eager to continue giving back to the organization by helping ensure SND can provide the same positive, lasting impact for current members and the next generation of visual storytellers.
