Adonis Durado is the design director of two Middle Eastern dailies, Times of Oman and Al Shabiba (Arabic). This year, Times of Oman placed first in the SND competition medal ranking. Durado has been recognized by the Malofiej Infographic Awards, the Society of Publication Design, the Society of Illustrators, the Type Director’s Club, Communication Arts magazine, HOW magazine, and Creative Quarterly magazine. He helped launch and has redesigned more than a dozen magazine and newspaper titles in the Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and had served as speaker to design conferences in the United States, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, India, Indonesia and the Philippines. Rio de Janeiro-born Sophie Gräfin zu Eltz has been partner at the family enterprise Burg Eltz & Eltzerhof since 1996. She holds numerous honorary positions including chairwoman of the Friends of the Reading Foundation. In Europe since 1968, she earned a French Baccalauréat 1971 and studied law at Frankfurt University.
Miguel Gomez is the design director of Al Nisr Publishing, the leading media house in Dubai, where for the last eight years he has been leading a multicultural team of talented visual journalists. With most of his adult life spent in newsrooms, he participated in the design and redesign of more then 50 publications around the world.
