Society for News Design

From web to tablet to phones (and beyond!), the constantly changing landscape of digital storytelling design keeps us on our toes, inviting designers to rethink which stories we tell, and how we tell them.
This weekend, in conjunction with the digital competition in Indianapolis, more than 30 news design leaders are digging in on two focused days of ideation and prototyping for #SNDmakes Indianapolis: The story form. We’ll begin Friday morning, March 21 and wrap-up around noon on Sunday, March 23.
Throughout the event, we will use a human-centered design process to identify design needs and propose some practical, some impractical digital design solutions. A cross-section of media’s leading designers will participate in the discussions and lead teams in brainstorming and prototyping some future storyforms.
This facilitated, interactive workshop is for news designers, developers and students of great digital news content. See the full list of attendees, with professionals from The Boston Globe, CNN, Vox Media, The Washington Post and others to help imagine the future of the narrative form.
