Countdown to Annual Workshop
The Annual Workshop makes its IRL return May 19-21, and it’s sharing the bill the 44th Creative Competition (May 17-20). The Workshop showcases innovators, thinkers, builders, day-dreamers and makers. We love art, design, data-viz, color, illustration, motion and a good story. Our presenters do too, and they’ll show you how to maximize those things across your products and platforms – whether it’s social media, newsletters, websites or print.
The lineup is complete!
We’ve assembled an extraordinary lineup of industry-leading innovators, creators and visual storytelling experts. Our dual tracks offer 30 sessions over Saturday and Sunday combined.

SNDWeek’s rate is $289 a night, and the facility fee* is waived for members at checkout. IHG Rewards Members get double points. This is a limited block, don’t wait to take advantage of this incredible deal. There are many hotels in Time Square, so when using a third-party booking site, be sure to find out if the final rate includes facility fees, taxes and incidentals.
Book your room at the SND rate with the link below, or call the IHG Reservations Hub: 888-233-9527. When booking, identify the group’s name (Society for News Design) or PMS Code (DES). May 17th is the first date blocked. Ask for the hotel – Crowne Plaza Times Square.

FAQ
Q: Can I volunteer for SND week? A: YES! We are looking for people to help make SND week a success! And can offset registration costs for volunteers on a case-by-case basis. Contact LeeAnn Mandrillo, our Executive Director, to learn more. Email LeeAnn directly
Q: Are tickets refundable? A: No, not automatically. We will evaluate refunds on case by case basis.
Q: I purchased a ticket but can not attend. Can I just give my registration to someone else? A: Generally, tickets are not transferable. Because this is a limited attendance event, if you can not attend, we will offer your registration to someone on the waitlist. If they accept, you will be refunded.
Q: Is there a waitlist if the event is sold out? A: Yes, we will create a waitlist in case registrants can’t attend. We are also looking into Virtual tickets. Stay tuned for more information!
Q: I forgot to register, can I still register after the late registration date has passed? A: If we have not reached our capacity, we will extend the registration period. If we have reached capacity, we will provide a waitlist.
Q: How can I become a sponsor? A: We love our sponsors and those that support our organization and our commitment to continual education and professional development. If you are interested in sponsoring, please contact LeeAnn Mandrillo
