Let’s party: The SNDSF Opening Reception, April 7, will be at the Green Room in San Francisco’s historic Veterans Building. Just down the street from the workshop hotel, the Green Room is a beautiful space to begin the annual workshop.
Previewing #SNDSF: “I’d like us to be closer to Disney’s saying that “art informs technology, and technology inspires the art.”” That’s Ben Fry, principal of Fathom, sharing some insight with SND ahead of his keynote in San Francisco. Eat, drink, be merry: Finalizing your travel plans for #SNDSF? San Francisco Chronicle designer and illustrator Christopher Fong has some tips on things to do and his top 10 places to eat and drink. Sing along: Make a plan to join us for Angie’s List Karaoke Night for SNDF on Friday April 8. It’s a fun event that also benefits future generations of visual journalists. Rodrigo Sanchez, art director for El Mundo and a SND Lifetime Achievement Award winner, is also helping the SND Foundation raise money so consider making a $10 contribution to SND Foundation in his honor. If Rodrigo Sanchez can get $500 in pledges, we’ll share his epic karaoke video.
