This morning, the temperature in sunny Syracuse was reported as low as -21 degrees Fahrenheit. Luckily for #SND37, we were inside all day.
It being Valentines Day, judges and facilitators received a small token of our admiration, along with temporary pizza tattoos.
Features judge Mike Rice was all too happy to have a pizza tattoo to add to his wardrobe today.
The visuals team finished up graphics and are almost done with illustration.
In long form, special sections were out on the tables. The long form team also finished judging category 20, combination print and digital, which is easily their most time consuming task.
Featured looked at some cover stories, and all the teams started looking at both individual and staff portfolios.
I admit that we judged more categories than I can recall. Overall, it was a very productive day, and the judges enjoyed the offer of a massage therapist in the lobby to relax their very tired muscles.
We did so well that we’re starting a little later tomorrow, which means we can stay OUT later to sing karaoke.
The fundraiser is one of the highlights of the competition and the funds go to a great cause, the SND Foundation.
