Editor’s Note: The 23rd Annual Student Design Contest is a separate design contest from the Best of News Design Competition.
The 23rd Annual Student Design Contest is now open to showcase the very best in collegiate print and digital visual journalism. A world-class panel of judges from around the world will critique entries to the contest, which is open now until March 21, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Students and advisors are encouraged to enter students’ work in these categories: Front Page Design, Sports Page Design, Features Page Design, Special Sections, Magazine Cover, Magazine Spread, Alternative Story Format, Art & Illustration, Digital Storytelling, Infographics, Promotions & Advertising, Standalone Multimedia, World’s Best Designed Magazine, World’s Best Designed Student News Site, World’s Best Designed Student Newspaper, and Student Designer of the Year.
Any work created between February 1, 2021 and March 9, 2022 is eligible to be entered. Work does not have to be published to be entered. Work completed for a college class, or for other campus organizations, is eligible and encouraged to be entered.
The cost to enter is $5 for a single-page entry and $10 for multiple-page entries, as well as multimedia entries. Read more about the contest and enter your pages here: https://msusnd.org/enter/
The contest is hosted by The Edmund C. Arnold Chapter for the Society of News Design at Michigan State University.
