In June, the SND Leadership Council shared with members a motion presented to the Board of Directors to restructure the leadership model and election process for the organization. The motion, which would require changes to the SND bylaws, was passed unanimously by the board and then put out to members for a vote in July.
The vote was passed by membership, with 98% of voting members supporting the change to the SND bylaws, with 2% against.
Twenty percent of the SND members participated in the vote.
As previously presented, SND will now hold an open call for board of director applications. Applications are due by July 31, 2021.
