SND35: Monday afternoon update, we are in the final stretch!

Mon-afternoon (1240)
Good afternoon from Syracuse, where are finishing up the 35th Best in News Design™ competition (although the World’s Best judges stick around until Tuesday.) We have passed the 1,000 award threshold as we finish up the judging. The judges are in their final categories and will soon be moving toward discussing the potential candidates for Best in Show.
We will report that news, as well as final totals and the top winners later on Monday. Stay tuned to snd.org for more information.

World’s Best: The judges have selected five publications as World’s Best-Designed™ newspapers and are now working on judges comments to explain why they are so great. That announcement will come Tuesday at the earliest.
